“As an architect, I try to be guided not by habit but by a conscious sense of the past—by precedent, thoughtfully considered…As an artist, I frankly write about what I like in architecture: complexity and contradiction. From what we find we like—what we are easily attracted to—we can learn much of what we really are."

Robert Venturi

Architect: Jakub Szczezny /Centrala/
Location: Wola, Poland
Project Area: 14,5 sqm

"Keret" house is a great idea and an interesting concept. The designer - Jakub Szczesny, was able to create something out of what everybody would have thought was nothing.

The narrowest part of the house is just 28 inches /72 cm/ wide.

Structurally the house is a simple tri-dimensional steel frame finished with plywood, insulated sandwich panels and styrofoam covered with concrete cloth painted white.

The interior will also be painted all white.
