The Eden Project is a multiple greenhouse complex and a must see destination in the United Kingdom.Thecomplex is dominated by two enclosures consisting of adjoining domes that house plant species from aroundthe world. Each enclosure emulates a natural biome. The domes consist of hundreds of hexagonal andpentagonal, inflated, plastic cells supported by steel frames. The first dome emulates a tropicalenvironment, and the second a Mediterranean environment.
"I think Wright learned the most important aspect of architecture, the treatment of space, from Japanesearchitecture. When I visited Fallingwater in Pennsylvania, I found that same sensibility of space. Butthere was the additional sounds of nature that appealed to me." - Tadao Ando
